All filters are optional. County search uses DCPAS’s current definitions, including separate locality variants and published county exceptions.

Wage schedules

DCPAS published regular appropriated-fund hourly wage rates.
Sources, historical rates and coverage

The nightly check downloads DCPAS’s wage-release directory, changed wage files and the complete current county mapping. Changed validated records are published; failed checks preserve the last verified data and show a warning.

The date selects the latest published schedule effective on or before that date. Future schedules are never used before their effective date. Historical rate lookup starts January 1, 2016. Current county boundaries must not be assumed to apply to an older HPR: verify the historical schedule code against the personnel record. An unavailable county variant stays unavailable rather than borrowing its parent area’s rates.

The regular data feed does not establish entitlement to separately published special rates, including minimum-pay schedules. A regular rate below $15 on or after January 30, 2022 is reference only and cannot be transferred into the MPR calculation.

About Federal Wage System pay

How do I find a wage grade pay rate?

Choose the county or the wage schedule, then the pay plan, grade and step. The tool shows the hourly rate for the schedule in effect, and you can pick a past date to see the edition that applied then.

What do WG, WL and WS mean?

They are the three regular Federal Wage System pay plans: Wage Grade for non-supervisory trades and labor positions, Wage Leader for leaders, and Wage Supervisor for supervisors. Each grade has five steps.

Which schedules are included?

Regular appropriated-fund schedules published by DCPAS. Special schedules, minimum-pay schedules, retained rates and nonappropriated fund pay are separate.
