What are VA special salary rates?
VA publishes special salary rates for certain occupations, grades and locations. Each rate belongs to an owning facility, a salary administration plan (SAP), an occupational series and a grade, and can be higher than the regular GS locality rate.
How do I find the right rate?
Filter by station, duty location, series, schedule title, SAP or grade, in any combination. Every filter is optional, and any filtered view can be bookmarked or shared as a link.
Where does the data come from?
The table is built from VA’s published special salary rate workbook and checked against it nightly. Coverage depends on the position of record, so confirm the plan before relying on a rate.
