VA Handbook 5005 contents

This is a clearer table of contents for VA Handbook 5005, Staffing. It lists the same parts, chapters, sections, numbered paragraphs and appendices as the handbook’s own contents, in the same order, and each heading opens VA’s official handbook at the page where that heading begins.

Links open VA’s PDF in a new tab at a physical PDF page. The printed page label is shown beside it, because the two numbers differ. The handbook’s own contents lists some stale page numbers; here every heading is placed where it actually starts in the document, so a few pages differ from the printed contents. Some headings read differently on the page than in the printed contents; search finds either wording, and the page’s wording is shown when it is the one that matched.

Search matches the beginning of words in the heading, its label (for example “Appendix H”) and the heading as printed on the page. Typing “usc” finds “U.S.C.”.

The links point at the edition named above. If VA publishes a newer change, they keep opening that edition until this tool is updated; VA’s handbook list shows the current one. Only headings, labels and page numbers are published here, not the handbook’s text. Nothing you type is stored or sent.
